Mobile Revenue Drives Unibet Growth

Online gaming operator Unibet has posted a 28% year-on-year increase in gross winnings revenue for the third quarter of 2013, a rise that it has put down to the growth of its mobile business.

Total gross winnings revenue for the latest quarter amounted to £56.1 million (€65.6 million/$89.8 million), up from the £43.8 million achieved in the same period last year.

Mobile revenue accounted for 23% of the total revenue figure, a significant increase on the 8% it contributed during the third quarter of 2012.

In addition, profit from operations increased from £4.5 million in Q3 of 2012 to £9.2 million in the latest quarter.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation also grew to £9.2 million, a significant rise on the £4 million recorded in the corresponding quarter last year.

The latest figures place total gross winnings revenue for the first nine months of 2013 at £169.5 million, up from £140.3 million in the same period last year.

Profit is also up from £22.6 million to £29 million, while EBITDA for the first nine months of this year has also grown to £27.9 million from the £22.1 million achieved in the same period in 2012.
