UK-based Espotech Limited has launched Espo, a multi-team fan engagement and rewards platform that looks to “bring esports and gaming fans closer to their favorite teams, pro players and content creators” by offering a variety of fane rewards Currently fans of Built By Gamers, Team BDS, BOOM Esports, F2K, GODSENT and Team Queso can acquire fan perks by sponsoring team engagement campaigns–both free and at cost. Espo has designed the platform to scale and is looking to add more teams, players, content creators, influencers, and brands.
Fans will be able to gain perks such as playing games on stream with a pro, receive VOD reviews of their gameplay from a pro, collect limited-edition team merchandise, or compete in “high-production” community tournaments for prizes.
The platform features a five-tier loyalty program that enables users to earn loyalty points called “EXP,” which opens up opportunities for interactive and gamified media features on Espo.
The platform already has more than 18K pre-registered users with three campaigns now live on Espo. Right now fans can access perks from BBG’s Fortnite pros, BBG’s Valorant roster and BOOM’s Dota 2 team.
“As our community of users grows, Espo’s features will evolve and expand too. We’re already building interactive media features that we’ll prototype with our users and launch on our platform later this year,” said Henry James, Espo founder and CEO.
Most campaigns on Espo will run for 30-day periods and will see the regular addition of new campaigns and fan perks as the cadre of affiliated teams grow.
