Online gambling group GVC Holdings enters new ‘long-term commercial relationship’ with Playtech, which will become ‘key products and services’ provider.
Online gambling group GVC Holdings has entered a new ‘long-term commercial relationship’ with Playtech.
Playtech was formerly lead platform and systems supplier for Ladbrokes and Coral UK. However, after they were acquired by GVC it was decided to use the group’s own proprietary platform instead.
According to GVC, the new collaboration is expected to lead to an ‘acceleration of synergy phasing’, helping their development teams complete the migration of Coral Ladbrokes to the group’s own platform.
The new agreement is slated to last until 2025, and will see Playtech become a ‘key products and services’ provider to the GVC’s worldwide portfolio of brands.
One area which will see GVC and Playtech development teams work together closely will be ‘ROAR Digital’ – a joint MGM-GVC venture aimed at creating the leading betting destination in the United States.
In a statement Chief Executive of GVC Holdings, Kenneth Alexander, said:
“We are delighted that GVC has been able to agree a long-term relationship with Playtech. Even more of our customers will now be able to enjoy content from one of the world’s leading suppliers of high quality gaming product. At the same time the added flexibility around migration of technology platforms enables us to accelerate the integration of Ladbrokes Coral.”
While Group CEO of Playtech, Mor Weizer, added:
“We are pleased to have reached a new agreement with GVC, which expands on the successful partnership we have established with Ladbrokes Coral over the last six years. This is testament to the strength of the Playtech proposition and we look forward to supporting GVC over the coming years.”
