The Next ‘Outlast’ Game Is A Cold War Co-Op Battle For Survival

The next Outlast game is a Cold War co-op battle for survival. Red Barrels is heading in a different direction for its new Outlast game. Similar to a cooperative multiplayer experience seen with games like Dead by Daylight and Friday 13th. It used the PC Gaming Show to unveil The Outlast Trials, a co-op survival title set in the Cold War Mind Control Research Facility.

The title will arrive sometime in 2021. This might not be what players are hoping for if they prefer the solitary adventures of earlier titles. It might be more appealing if they prefer to share their fear with others, and it’s a recognition that multiplayer elements have become popular even in traditional single player genres.
