Riot Games’ Naz Aletaha One Of AdWeek’s 2019 Young Influentials

Riot Games’ Naz Aletaha has been named one of 2019’s Young Influentials by Adweek.

The 36-year-old from Newport Beach is head of global esports partnerships at Riot, where she has worked for eight years. Notably she helped the company forge partnerships with major brands like Mastercard, Louis Vuitton and State Farm.

Aletaha is the only figure from the world of esports to make this year’s list, which Adweek runs to identify overachievers in the brand marketing ecosystem. Others on this year’s list include soccer star Megan Rapinoe, Emmy award-winning actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Justin De Graaf of Google, artist Cleo Wade and motivational speaker Jay Shetty.

Mastercard’s global sponsorship of Riot Game’s League of Legends esports title, which includes five world leagues, an all-star event and a world championship, was a landmark deal in the esports world, and is something Aletaha was pivotal in making happen.

After landing the Mastercard partnership, Aletaha then went on to secure deals with other major brands including Honda, Red Bull, Paramount Pictures and Jersey Mike’s.

She was also instrumental in securing the recent Louis Vuitton deal, which saw the brand create the championship trophy case for the 2019 League of Legends World Championships.
