Riot Games MENA Partners With Challenge Arena for Arabic Broadcast of LEC Playoffs

Riot Games MENA has partnered with Challenge Arena to provide an Arabic-language broadcast of the LEC Spring Playoffs. Challenge Arena is a Saudi company leading esports in MENA that provides full end-to-end esports solutions in terms of broadcast and management.

In addition, many known casters that have worked in past big events for Riot Games MENA including the Nexus Arabia in 2019 and the Intel Arabian Cup 2020 participated in this first edition.

League of Legends is gaining ground in the MENA region in terms of statistics after a record last year at the Intel Arabian Cup with a total of 28.3K peak concurrent viewers and 7.7M broadcast views.

According to Luciano Rahal, PR & communication manager at Riot Games for MENA, the company’s reason to focus on providing Arabic coverage of the LEC is due to its proximity to the region. Currently, MENA players compete on EU servers, which makes the LEC  its biggest target for a natural viewing experience and also matches with its viewing time zone.
