The Malta and Gibraltar-licensed online poker room at RedKings.com has announced that its real-money Apple iOS mobile app is now available to players in a total of 17 nations.
RedKings.com premiered the iOS version of its previously Android-only mobile poker platform in May and has now added eight additional countries including Belarus, Russia and the Ukraine alongside Sweden and Norway.
Available via the Apple iTunes App Store, the RedKings.com iOS mobile service allows players to practice for free or compete for real money while on the move using an iPhone or iPad mobile device.
RedKings.com declared that its iOS service comes complete with ‘the same fantastic features’ already enjoyed by thousands of online players only optimised for smartphone and tablet computers.
“If anything is growing in online poker it is mobile,” said Jack Simons, European Marketing Manager for RedKings.com.
“We have seen month-on-month growth since we launched Android last year but the biggest jump of all was when we introduced the iPhone and iPad service a few months ago. Now with 17 major countries doing both iPhone and Android we can broaden the appeal of our mobile campaigns and localise promotions more effectively.”
The fast-fold Strobe Poker variant from Amaya Gaming Group Incorporated and its Ongame Network Limited subsidiary is included in the new iPhone and iPad service meaning that players can now utilise their smartphone or tablet computer to enjoy some high-speed action.
“The conversations we have had with our mobile players offer great insights as to why some choose their smartphone or iPad while others their PC,” said Simons.
“Besides the obvious ability to play on the bus, the train or waiting online for pizza, 70 percent of those grinding on tablet said it was just more comfortable to do so and they loved the option to be able to move around the house from room to room if they had to. Simple as that and to us it makes perfect sense.”
