A whopping 12.3M players participated in a live in-game concert performed by Travis Scott yesterday. The event was the first of a series of in-game concerts that Epic Games and Travis Scott have billed as a “tour.” The developers created a special in-game experience complete with a digital version of Scott performing his music. This event is similar to the one that Epic had created in partnership with musician and DJ Christopher “Marshmello” Comstock, in which players could attend the concert through Fortnite.
In addition to the millions attending the concert in-game, many players also streamed their experience, significantly increasing the total viewership.
