Fresh from handing out over €20,000 in cash to players via its Blaze Cash Drop promotion, which was formerly known as the Poker Network, has now unveiled the new Blazing Cannon miniature game.
The latest innovation from online gaming software provider Microgaming, Blazing Cannon launches every time a player wins 20 raked hands in order to give that competitor the chance to pocket up to €100.
“The poker industry has never seen this type of game feature before,” said Lydia Melton, Head of Network Games for Microgaming.
“We have developed something totally new that will bring an element of fun and surprise to Blaze Poker while adding significant value for players.”
Microgaming stated that the rules to Blazing Cannon are ‘simple’ as players are invited to knock down golden suit tokens balanced precariously on top of a house of cards using a blazing poker chip. The more icons that are knocked down, the greater amount of cash awarded to a competitor although the developer is warning participants to beware ‘natural and unnatural obstacles conspiring to stand in the way’ including birds, sudden downpours and ‘alien invasions’. Any money won via this permanent addition will be added to a player’s chip stack for use on the next hand.
“When we first saw Blazing Cannon, we were extremely excited,” said Simon Lidzen, head of poker for Betsson.
“The team at MPN has come up with something totally unique; players are going to love it.”
