U.S.-based multinational corporation and technology company Intel has extended its partnership with National Student Esports’ British University Esports Championship into the 2020-2021 academic year. Intel now remains the headline partner for the British University Esports Championship and will continue to collaborate in creating experiences and content for the event.
During the previous school year, more than 1,100 teams across 95 different universities participated in more than16 weeks of competition with Warwick University winning and becoming the now two-time defending Esports University of The Year champion.
Intel will continue to cultivate a grassroots esports community through its collaboration with the universities and events as well as continuing FutureGen, a program developed for high achieving students in esports.
