Technology giant Intel extends headline sponsorship of ESL Premiership through 2019, in a considerable boost to UK esports.
Intel has announced it has extended its headline sponsorship of the ESL Premiership for 2019.
The ESL Premiership is the foremost platform for the best semi-pro CS:GO and Rainbow Six Siege players in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and Intel’s continued support will be a huge boost for British esports.
Last year Intel partnered with ESL UK, collaborating on campaigns to raise awareness of UK esports, and this is now expected to continue throughout 2019.
Managing Director of ESL UK, James Dean, commented:
“Intel’s involvement since the early days of the ESL Premiership has provided so many opportunities for aspiring professional players and talent throughout the recent years.
“It’s tremendous news for the UK and Irish esports scene to see Intel extend its headline sponsorship for 2019; allowing for the collaboration of companies to create a really outstanding tournament on a whole new level.”
Gaming and Esports Lead at Intel UK, Scott Gillingham, said:
“Intel is proud to be returning as the headline sponsor for the ESL UK Premiership in 2019. The partnership with ESL showcases our commitment to support the growth of esports to bring fans the biggest and best events globally and across the UK.
“We are focused on giving our community a platform to develop skills, whilst working with partners to drive amazing experiences played on our Intel® Core i7 processors. Our work with ESL aims to develop the esports industry by showcasing current talent as well as searching for next stars across the UK.”
