Esports organisation Fnatic strengthens partnership with smartphone maker OnePlus, with brand being revealed as main jersey sponsor.
Esports organisation Fnatic has strengthened their partnership with smartphone maker OnePlus, with the brand being revealed as the main jersey sponsor.
The new jersey was launched during Legends in Action Live, streamed from Berlin on 13th January, with OnePlus’ logo replacing ‘Fnatic’ on the front, and is the latest development in a relationship that began back at the Paris Games Week in 2017.
Co-Founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei, commented:
“Gaming has always been central to OnePlus and working with Fnatic was, from the beginning, a natural partnership born from friendship: two like-minded organizations looking to push the boundaries. We’re excited for this to be our first-ever global sponsorship in esports! Together, we’ll continue to change industries and attitudes, through a joint passion to Never Settle.”
While Founder and Chairman of Fnatic, Sam Mathews, said:
“This is a hugely significant moment in the history of Fnatic. I’ve known Carl Pei for a long time and we’ve always shared the same mantra of challenging the norm and always looking for more – be it success with our teams, our products or as brands.
“We share the same values when it comes to performance and becoming the best we can possibly be, so in OnePlus we have the perfect partner to take Fnatic into a new era.”
OnePlus devices like the recently launched OnePlus 6T are aimed at mobile gamers and esports fans, featuring 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED display at a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, the latest hardware, and bespoke ‘Gaming Mode’ optimisations, so the partnership with Fnatic makes a lot of commercial sense.
