Crypto-currency gambling group Bit777 is hoping to expand the business even further after it enjoyed a “spectacular” 2013.
Having only launched in May 2013, Bit777 said that its Bit777.com, Peerbet.org and Doge-Wheel.com websites had taken a total of 12,562,275 bets during the first seven months of operation.
Bit777 said that the total amount of crypto currencies wagered on the website was equivalent to $35.8 million (€26.3 million).
The websites, which took a total of 43,571 Bitcoins through bets, also support Litecoins and six other virtual currencies.
The gambling software for the websites is provided by Bulgarian software supplier UltraPlay.
“2013 was a spectacular year for us, and we hope to grow our business even further in 2014,” Bit777’s general manager, Alex Petrov, said. “Just in December we saw 3.3 million bets on our sites, which proves we are on the right path.”
