The Supervisory Board of Admiral Markets AS, the Estonian entity of the Admiral Markets Group, recently announced that it intends to appoint Victor Gherbovet as a new Management Board Member.
Gherbovet’s appointment will become effective from the 27th of July 2020. Following his commencement of the role, the Supervisory Board of the Estonian online trading provider will have four Management Board Members.
According to the statement released earlier today, the four members are Sergei Bogatenkov, Victor Gherbovet, Dmitri Lauš and Jens Chrzanowski. Gherbovet has been with Admiral Markets AS since 2008 and has been a member of the Management Board of Admiral Markets Group AS since 2017.
“The changes in the Management Board are due to the long-term strategy of Admiral Markets AS and the desire to increase the company’s presence in new global markets,” the foreign exchange (forex) trading provider said in the statement.
Victor Gherbovet joined Admiral Markets AS in 2008
In particular, Gherbovet joined Admiral Markets in 2008 as the Director of the firm’s Romanian branch, according to his LinkedIn profile. He then went on to become ESEU regional manager in 2013, until appointment to the Management Board in 2017.
Earlier in his career, Gherbovet was the Key Account Manager at Asito Kapital between September of 2006 and May 2008. Prior to this, he was a Credit Officer at EXIMBANK-Gruppo Veneto Banca, his LinkedIn shows, joining in February of 2005.
He attended the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest for four years, spanning from 2000 until 2004. He also has a Bachelors degree, his LinkedIn shows.
Admiral Markets is regulated in a number of jurisdictions. Aside from Estonia, the Group has an entity in the United Kingdom, Admiral Markets UK Ltd regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which is the sister company to the Estonia-based company.
Furthermore, the Group’s entity Admiral Markets Cyprus Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), and over in Australia, Admiral Markets Pty Ltd holds an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).
