Social games services provider Zynga has partnered with mobile loyalty and ad platform SessionM to launch a new in-game real-world rewards programme.
The partnership will offer mPoints to Scramble With Friends players that unlock in-game features and interact with new ad experiences as they play.
The mPoints will be redeemable as real-world rewards such as iTunes and Amazon gift cards as well as used to enter additional SessionM sweepstakes and contests.
Players can opt to play for achievements and earn loyal points via a new in-game icon, which will begin to appear in the game this month.
The partnership not only rewards loyal players but offers brand advertisers further opportunities to deliver engagement-based videos adverts that are entirely opt-in and of value to players.
Adam Sussman, senior vice president of sales and distribution for Zynga, said, “Partnering with SessionM enables us to launch Zynga’s first mobile real-world rewards programme to benefit our players while providing a unique value to brands, which can engage directly with their target audience.”
