Having enjoyed gradual expansion throughout much of Europe and South America, Luxembourg-based gaming machine manufacturer Zitro Games says it is now ready to turn its focus to Asia.
The move east reflects Zitro’s rapid expansion in recent years from a specialist provider of video bingo products into the world of slot machines and online games.
“When we launched in 2007 our specialty was bingo, but with bingo being quite a niche product we were keen to expand our interests into slots and other areas too,” explained Marketing Manager Inés Pérez on the show floor at G2E in Las Vegas.
“In the past few years we’ve performed very well and now have strong distribution in South America as well as places like Spain and France in Europe. Now it’s time to take the next step so we are just starting to look at Asia.”
Zitro has already taken its first steps into Asia via the Philippines, where bingo remains popular, but it’s the company’s Link King progressive link (pictured) that Pérez says can gain wider Asian penetration.
“It is also a multigame product which is something that operators have told us is very appealing,” she said. “We have high hopes that Link King can perform well in a number of different locations.”
