William Hill hires Phil Walker as new UK & Ireland Online Managing Director.
William Hill has appointed Phil Walker as new UK & Ireland Online Managing Director.
Walker, who was formerly Managing Director of Sports Brands at Ladbrokes Coral and is currently Group Chief Operating Officer of the Gibraltar Stock Exchange, will join William Hill in Gibraltar early in 2019 .
The firm, which recently acquired MRG, intends to move its international hub to MRG’s Malta office, and use its Gibraltar office as its UK and Ireland base. Walker, will replace current Online MD Grant Williams, who will be leaving the firm after three years.

While Phil Walker himself said:

The move is just one in a string of senior management appointments, as William Hill prepares the ground for restructuring after the MRG acquisition has been completed.
Just days ago, Charlotte Emery was announced as new global brand and marketing director, and shortly before that Paola Zekkou was named as new Director of Tech Strategy & Planning.
