Scandinavian online casino operator Mr Green has appointed former bwin.party executive Bo Wänghammar as its new chief executive officer.
Marcus Nylén has stepped down from the CEO position to take up the same role at newly launched mobile casino Garbo.com.
Wänghammar will make the move to Mr Green from online glasses and contact lens retailer Lensway, where he had served as chief executive officer since April 2010.
In addition to his roles at Lensway and bwin.party, he also held the position of chief financial officer at Metro.
Mikael Pawlo, chief executive officer of Mr Green’s parent company Mr Green & Co, said Wänghammar was the “right person” to continue the development of the firm.
Mr Green has also appointed Nylén as chief executive officer of Garbo.com, the mobile casino founded by Pawlo in which Mr Green & Co holds an option to buy.
“Marcus has extensive experience in international start-ups and possess valuable knowledge about the industry from his time as CEO of the online casino Mr Green,” Pawlo added.
