Matt Sunderland, the former chief operating officer of specialist mobile gambling software provider Probability, has been appointed as the new chief operating officer of Gibraltar-based online and mobile gaming company Nektan.
The 38-year-old stepped down from his role at Probability last month to pursue opportunities outside the UK.
Nektan is involved in social and online gambling ventures and has also created the hybrid ‘sklots’ offerings, which combine skill and chance games.
Sunderland joined Probability in 2009 as managing director of consumer brands, a role in which he oversaw the commercial strategy. This included driving forward LadyLuck’s, the company’s mobile casino offering.
Probability has not replaced Sunderland, instead opting to distribute his responsibilities for the time being amongst other senior managers – including chief executive officer Charles Cohen, chief financial officer Qurban Hussain and newly appoint head of business-to-business Glen Elliott.
