Standard Chartered Bank Bahrain, a branch affiliate of global parent Standard Chartered Plc, has appointed Shaikha Tareef as its newest Chief Financial Officer, the first woman CFO in the bank’s history.
Standard Chartered has made a number of recent hires, including Priyen Shah as Director of FX Options Trading and Paul Denslow of FX Sales in the past two months. Standard Chartered Bahrain has decided to revamp its executive structure as well, naming Miss Tareef.
In her new role as CFO of Standard Chartered Bahrain, Miss Tareef will be responsible for implementing the bank’s financial strategies, logistics and cost management. Miss Tareef has previously served as the Senior Manager at Standard Chartered Bahrain.
