SBI Set To Release CFDs For Bitcoin, Ether And XRP

SBI set to release CFD for Bitcoin, Ether and XRP. Japanese financial power house SBI is set to release contract-for-difference for major cryptocurrencies.

Beginning Aug. 31, SBI Holdings will start CFD trading service for crypto assets, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) and XRP. The new service will be available via SBI’s foreign-exchange arm, SBI FX Trade. According to the announcement made, the site is immediately accepting new account registrations.

The new trading offering permits SBI clients to trade crypto CFD contracts against the Japanese yen and the U.S. dollar, enabling a total of six new trading pairs.

The announcement notes that SBI FX Trade will become the first forex exchange business in Japan offering CFD trading for cryptocurrencies. SBI is a key partner of Ripple and the two have been collaborating on a joint venture called SBI Ripple Asia which intends to promote the use of XRP in the asian financial market.
