Richard Elston has landed at CMC Markets as one of its newest executives and Head of Partners for the group’s European business, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.
In Mr. Elston’s new role as the Head of Partners, he will be based out of London, affording him a strategic position and view over the group’s European clientele – he will also be tasked with enhancing CMC’s presence in the international partner space.
One of these areas Mr. Elston will be focusing on is CMC’s “Next Generation” technology, which has allowed the company to develop Traderoom and other innovative projects, some of which are still in the pipeline.
Mr. Elston joins CMC Markets from IG Group, having worked as its Head of Sales since September 2014. Prior to IG Group, he has also held a number of senior level roles at Saxo Bank, SuperDerivatives and CQG, among other stops dating back to 1995, part of a lengthy career spanning over two decades.
CMC Markets has been particularly active in the hiring realm as of late, tapping David Hodge as its newest Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), who joins the group from Alpari UK Limited, where he served in a number of executive level roles over the past four years.
UK-based CMC Markets is a regulated financial derivatives dealer – the group offers a broad suite of trading instruments in spread betting, contracts-for-difference (CFDs) and foreign exchange (FX) across global markets.
