Interactive gaming software and services provider GTECH G2 has announced the launch of its new Poker 8.0 client that allows online poker players using a Mac computer to enjoy variety of game types and tournaments as well as cash tables.
GTECH G2 is the interactive subsidiary of American gaming technology and services firm GTECH Corporation and described its Poker 8.0 client as ‘the market’s first full-feature poker client for Mac’.
The updated version of GTECH G2’s multi-channel poker product comes complete with adapted keyboard shortcuts for use with Mac hardware along with improved player profile settings and statistics including the ability to categorise an opponent’s skill level as ‘shark’, ‘medium’, ‘fish’ or ‘none’.
“We are absolutely delighted to be launching Poker 8.0, the market’s first full-feature poker client for both PC and Mac,” said Dominic Mansour, Product Management Vice-President for GTECH G2.
“The developments on the latest version of our poker product have all been designed with a core aim of improving the player experience and we are very satisfied with the results.”
Now live on the International Poker Network, GTECH G2 stated that its new Poker 8.0 client also features a ‘host of innovative features designed to boost convenience and enhance the card-playing experience’.
“Players can alleviate uncertainty about a hand and are now able to relive their best moments by viewing a re-run of any completed hand from any game session they have participated in with the new Hand Replay option,” read a statement from GTECH G2.
Another innovation available as part of the Poker 8.0 client is the Tournament Deal feature, which enables players that have remained in a game until the final table to accept a proposed agreement and prematurely end the competition.
“Deals are available at the final table in multi-table tournaments when remaining players have chips left and there is no re-buy or add-on time left,” read the statement from GTECH G2.
