Sony’s gaming console brand PlayStation has signed a partnership deal with Discord. The gamer-focused social and voice chat platform will be connected to the PlayStation Network.
Additionally, Sony Interactive Entertainment participated in Discord’s Series H funding round as a minority investor.
Last month, Discord reportedly ended talks that could have resulted in its acquisition by Microsoft, which makes PlayStation’s most direct competitor, Xbox. The company is rumored to be pursuing a public listing at a later date.
