Philip Kopman Leaves Santander as Global Head of FX E-Commerce

The global head of foreign exchange (fx) e-commerce at Santander, Philip Kopman, has stepped down from his position. According to an article from FX Week, he has moved back to the United States to look for new opportunities.

While working at Santander, Kopman was based in London. Until a replacement is found, his position is being filled on an interim basis by Rosa Carroquino who is based in Madrid. Carroquino has been with the bank’s fx e-commerce team since October 2012.

In his role, which he held for more than four years, Kopman managed an eFX front office and IT organization comprised of more than 40 resources. His responsibility was to deliver revenues, products, and services for the global forex business. Other duties included trading, distribution, quantitative analysis, technology, and client support.

During his time at the bank, Kopman reported to Andrew Brown, global head of FX. Brown joined the firm in May this year and was previously the Global Head of Foreign Exchange at BBVA. Until a replacement is found, Carroquino will also report to Brown.
