Technology developer OBJ Enterprises (OBJE) has signed a letter of intent to license and develop a range of gaming titles created by development company Cory Studios.
Obscene Interactive, the gaming division of OBJE, has already begun performing due diligence towards a partnership deal with the Cory to produce and publish new gaming apps for smartphones and tablet devices.
If an agreement is reached, partners would then publish games under OBJE’s Novalon Games brand, the development studio OBJE acquired last month.
Paul Watson, OBJE’s chief executive officer, said expanding the Novalon portfolio would be a ‘major focus’ in 2014.
“This year, we’ve familiarised ourselves thoroughly with the publishing process for iOS and Android games,” he said. “All we need now to be successful are fun and imaginative games to sell and developers to refine them.
“We hope that Cory Studios can be the first of many licensing and development partners to help us achieve that goal under the Novalon brand.”
