Technology developer OBJ Enterprises (OBJE) has completed its acquisition of development studio Novalon Games, the creator of mobile gaming applications such as Phantasmic and Creature Tavern.
OBJE, which founded Novalon as a joint venture alongside Source Street last year, will now own 100% of the studio’s assets and intellectual property.
OBJE said that it intends to develop Novalon into a “top-tier” company in the sector to take part in the “mobile gaming revolution”.
“In the coming months, we plan to dramatically increase the size of the development team and gaming portfolio at Novalon Games as we implement our new business strategy in the booming global gaming market,” OBJE chief executive officer Paul Watson said.
“This acquisition is only the first of what we expect to be many as we strive to build a robust portfolio of engaging new content that can help us more effectively leverage emerging technologies such as biometrics, utility gaming apps and other monetisation models to capitalise on the explosion in gaming across the globe.”
