NZX Adds Graham Law as its Chief Financial Officer

NZX, the only registered securities exchange in New Zealand, has picked Graham Law to take on the role of Chief Financial Officer. The stock exchange operator said that Mr Law’s appointment, effective 27 November 2017, follows the resignation of its outgoing CFO Bevan Miller.

Graham steps into his new role equipped with a lengthy resume in the New Zealand and the United Kingdom markets, where he has served in various senior management positions for more than 25 years. His previous expertise covers strategic leadership, corporate governance, and risk and financial management.

Mr. Law is presently the Head of Finance at the Accident Compensation Corporation, a role he has held since 2016. He has extensive finance, information systems and operations experience having previously held senior roles at AMP Capital Limited, where he last served as its Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the corporate and fund accounting teams.

His decorated career has also included stops at Ernst & Young as Assurance Executive Director, a position he held for more than six years, among other roles dating back to 1992, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile. During a 14-year tenure with EY, Mr. Law’s responsibilities included areas of client services where he was tasked with the provision of assurance and transaction advisory support services.
