New Jersey Unveils Online Gambling Promotion Rules

New Jersey casino regulators are to allow casinos in the US state to offer online gambling promotions in which players have to reach a certain level before they are allowed to cash out.

According to the Houston Chronicle newspaper, the restrictions would only apply in situations where players accept a casino’s bonus cash promotion. Players will be allowed to cash out any other time if a promotion is not involved.

These types of promotions will not be made available until at least 30 days after online gambling in the state has been fully launched.

David Rebuck, New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement’s director, said the state must issue specific guidelines for online betting on order to avoid any issues.

Rebuck added that the state has been approached by a number of online gambling firms in regards to what promotions they can offer.

He said that the division had made it clear that once a player has reached the required level, the casino cannot place a cap on any winnings by a player.

Rebuck added that the terms of any promotions like this must be clearly spelled out to the customer before an offer is accepted.
