Swedish games developer NetEnt has signed a license agreement with Finland’s state-owned gaming operator Veikkaus.
Under the terms of the agreement, NetEnt will supply a comprehensive range of its popular games to Veikkaus online casino. Veikkaus boasts more than two million customers, and www.veikkaus.fi draws up to 700,000 players per week.
MD NetEnt Malta and Chief Product Officer of NetEnt, Henrik Fagerlund said:

NetEnt games are due to go live with Veikkaus in the first-half of 2019, and the agreement covers a period of four years, with an estimated value for NetEnt of between €5 and €9 million.
Veikkaus is the biggest and sole licensed gambling operator in Finland, operating both retail and online services. Founded in 1940, it is wholly owned by the Finnish government and managed by the Finnish Ministry of Education.
Interestingly, according to Wikipedia, Veikkaus’ profits are distributed according to law, as follows:
- 53% to the Ministry of Education and Culture for improving on sports and physical education, science, arts and youth work;
- 43% to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health for improving on health and social welfare;
- 4% to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for improving on horse racing.
