MRG now has a Danish online sportsbook license complimenting its existing casino license in the country.
MRG (formerly Mr Green), has been granted an online sportsbook license in Denmark, from national gaming regulator Spillemyndigheden, authorizing the brand to market to Danish consumers.
The operator already has a Danish casino license, that was granted at the end of 2017, and is currently operating both Bingosjov.dk and Bingoslottet.dk.
MRG CEO Per Norman said:
“It’s great that we now can introduce our strong sportsbook offering also in Denmark,”
Last month MRG also applied for a Swedish license, as part of its expansion strategy in Scandinavia and the Nordic region.
Founded in 2007, MRG now has iGaming operations in 13 markets worldwide and operates multiple sites including Mr Green, Redbet, 11.lv, Winning Room, Bertil, MamaMiaBingo, BingoSjov and BingoSlottet.
In addition to being licensed in Denmark, MRG also holds licenses in Italy, Latvia, Malta and the UK. In 2017 the group had a turnover of SEK 1,192.0 million and employed more than 300 people.
