European Regulatory Consultant, MAP S.Platis, has appointed Demetris Taxitaris as its newest Group General Manager, according to a MAP S.Platis statement.
The composition of MAP S.Platis now includes six member firms, maintaining four offices in Cyprus as well as a growing global network of associates. Mr. Taxitaris joins MAP S.Platis after a lengthy stint at the Bank of Cyprus Group in Nicosia since 2001. More recently, he founded Symmetria F.S. Ltd. in August 2013.
“Demetris has been part of our team since the very beginning, as an instructor in our Executive Education Courses and as a specialised advisor on a number of issues. We leveraged on his expertise, knowledge and understanding of financial services regulation and practice for almost a decade now,” noted Stelios Platis, Managing Director of MAP S. Platis, in an accompanying statement to FortuneZ.
“So for us Demetris taking up the position of our Group’s General Manager has been a natural development. We look very much forward to Demetris’ lead towards providing more specialised, more efficient and more comprehensive support to our clients and the sector,”Platis added.
Late last year, after the passage of the Alternative Investment Funds into law in Cyprus, MAP S.Platis earned its inaugural license for Limited Persons Alternative Investment Funds (LPAIF).
