Major Ukrainian eSports organisation to launch fan token on blockchain platform. Ukrainian multi-game organization Natus Vincere has made an announcment on plans to launch a fan token on blockchain-based platform Socios.
According to a Nov. 4 announcement, the token will allow a number of new fan engagement opportunities. This includes the right to vote in polls as well and the chance to earn unique rewards linked to the organization.
The maximum supply of fan tokens will be capped at 5 million coins. There will be a limited number of tokens available at a fixed price of $1. An initial flash sale is expected to take place in the coming months, Socios said. Following the flash sale, the price of Natus Vincere token will be determined by demand.
Natus Vincere, more commonly known by its short name Navi, first joined the esports arena in 2009 and has since grown into a powerful multi-game organisation. Navi specialises in big games such as CS: GO, Dota 2, PUBG, Fortnite, PUBG Mobile, Apex Legends and Rainbow Six. “Natus Vincere” means Latin for “born to win.”
Navi will become the third esports organization to join the Socios platform, following European OG and the Spanish Team Heretics. Socios has also listed fan tokens for major sports clubs including FC Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain. In August 2020, Socios CEO Alexandre Dreyfus announced that the firm was preparing to launch a Visa debit card for fan tokens.
