Computer manufacturer Lenovo has renewed its sponsorship deal with the Circuito Brasileiro de Counter Strike (CBCS).
As a result of the renewal, the firm’s Legion brand will be promoted throughout the tournament.
Legion by Lenovo is the first sponsor to be officially announced for CBCS’ 2021 season.
Financial details have not been revealed, however, the partnership has renewed for a year with Legion providing the tournament with notebooks, monitors, and other peripherals from the brand. Additionally, Lenovo will focus on creating a variety of content for social media and during the league’s transmission throughout the year.
Miah Campos, Head of CBCS Operations, spoke on the deal in a release: “We are very happy, Lenovo is a very important partner and this renewal that also validates the goals we have for the Counter-Strike scenario in Brazil from 2021 onwards”.
The Circuito Brasileiro de Counter Strike was created by DC Set Group, Grupo Globo, Gamers Club, Gaules and Omelete Company. The competition’s first regional major, the CBCS Elite League Season 1, is already underway and features the likes of MIBR, Isurus, Sharks Esports and INTZ.
The victor will walk away with R$40,000 (~£5,304) and 1600 Regional Major Rankings: South America points. The team with the most cumulative amount of RMR points by October will qualify as South America’s representative for the PGL Major Stockholm 2021.
