The Taiwan Sports Lottery Corporation (TSLC) has confirmed it has agreed a deal for Greek-owned gaming and lottery operator Intralot to become its single betting service partner for the next 10 years.
The partnership will begin at the start of 2014 and run through to the end of 2023.
Under the deal, which was first outlined in September, Intralot will provide operational support services for sportsbetting in the retail environment to a network of 1,200 points of sale across Taiwan, as well as interactive services via mobile and internet platforms.
Such services will include product customisation, content management, programme and odds compilation, bet acceptance and risk management, training, and marketing and consulting services.
“Taiwan Sports Lottery Company has chosen Intralot as the betting services partner taking into consideration Intralot’s global practices in this field and the existing long-term relationship with Taiwan Lottery Company and Chinatrust commercial bank,” TSLC’s chief executive officer, Ted Lin, said.
Marios Mitromaras, Intralot’s general manager of Asia, added, “We are very satisfied with our business course in Taiwan. Our third contract in the country within six months is the result of our long-term investment and the commitment of our local team.”
