In addition to publishing its third-quarter financial results this Thursday, IG Group has also announced a series of changes to its Board of Directors. Namely, the online trading provider has secured Helen Stevenson as a Non-Executive Director of the company.
In addition to being a Non-Executive Director of the company, Stevenson, who was appointed to the new role on Wednesday, has also been made a member of IG Group’s Remuneration Committee.
Stevenson’s background is in marketing, and he has worked across a number of industries. The appointment today is not her first position as a Non-Executive Director, and she also has experience regarding remuneration matters, the company said.
Commenting on the appointment, Company Chairman Mike McTighe said in the statement: “Following an extensive, externally facilitated, search I am delighted to welcome Helen to the Board.”
“She is a highly experienced Non-Executive Director with significant marketing and digital skills and experience. Helen’s appointment complements and builds on the skills of the existing Board members and her experience in the ever-changing world of executive remuneration is especially welcome.”
Stevenson is currently the Senior Independent Director of Reach plc and Kin and Carta plc and a non-executive director of Skipton Building Society. She has a BA (Hons) Degree in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University.

Stephen Hill retires from IG Group
In addition to announcing the appointment of Stevenson, IG Group also revealed that it received notice from Stephen Hill on Wednesday of his intention to retire as a Non-Executive Director.
Hill will retire from his position at the end of his current term, which will expire on the 27th of April, 2020. He has been a member of the Board for nine years.
