HSBC Malaysia has appointed Mahbub Rahman as Head of Commercial Banking in the country, effective from August 1, 2014. Rahman’s new role will put him in charge of Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF) and Payments and Cash Management (PCM) businesses in one of most vibrantly developing emerging markets.
According to the company announcement, Mr. Rahman has more than 16 years of corporate banking experience. Most recently he held the position of Head of Commercial Banking in Bangladesh since 2006 and was responsible for the GTRF and PCM businesses.
The persons to whom Rahman will report regionally have commented in the official announcement.
