Privately owned online dating and social discovery firm Global Personals Limited has hired Pil-Jeong Oh from British newspaper publishing giant News UK to serve as its new Head of Gaming.
Windsor-based Global Personals revealed that Pil-Jeong was with News UK for seven years and served as Product Manager for the SunBingo.co.uk and FabulousBingo.co.uk online bingo brands.
In his new role, Pil-Jeong is to be responsible for Global Personals’ online gaming strategy and will work closely with the company’s User Experience and Innovation Teams to develop and grow its gaming arm, which includes the new SmoochBingo.co.uk online bingo offering.
“Pil-Jeong will be a great asset to our senior team, bringing a huge wealth of gaming experience to the role,” said Ross Williams, Chief Executive Officer for Global Personals.
“Online dating and gaming have similar demographics and there’s a lot of opportunity to utilise Global Personals’ expertise and resource into another burgeoning market, which will ultimately complement and grow alongside the rest of the business operations.”
