Capitolis, a SaaS platform optimizing the capital market resources, has appointed Dr. Petra Wikstrom as the new business development executive for the buy-side in the Americas.
She has joined the company this month and will report to Ben Tobin, Capitolis’ global head of sales.
“Capitolis’ innovative technology is revolutionizing how banks, asset managers, and hedge funds utilize their balance sheets. I look forward to contributing,” Wikstrom said in a statement.
An FX industry veteran
Though holding a Ph.D. in Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, she is a financial industry veteran and spent the last two decades in various major financial companies.
Before joining Capitolis, she was a senior advisor of electronic trading at Streamline Analytix for almost a year-and-a-half.
The most notable position in her portfolio include her role at BNP Paribas as global head of execution and alpha solutions, FortuneZ also reported on that appointment. There, she was also overseeing the sales of FXLM derivatives and commodities and also trading.
She also spent almost four years of her career, from August 2010 to June 2014, at Morgan Stanley as the head of QSI North America, FXEM sales, and structuring.
She started her career at Swedish bank Handelsbanken as a quantitive analyst of the financial markets. She climbed the corporate ladder to the executive position at RBS Global Banking and Markets in her seven years tenure.
