France Pari and Sportech have signed a deal that will see them share their football pool betting liquidities in France and the UK.
The agreement is the first of its kind in France, the country allows international liquidity sharing for horse racing pari mututel but not for online poker, while to date such an agreement had not been authorised in the sports betting vertical, France Pari said.
The agreement will enable France Pari to offer “several jackpots of around €100,000 each week” and is significant for the French operator as it partners with what it called ” the largest pool betting operator in the UK and worldwide”. For France Pari it represent a second sizeable deal in recent weeks, it recently announced that it had launched PMU subsidiary Genybet’s fixed odds online sports betting offer.
Both operators will start by offering their existing pools products, with France Pari explaining that the English Premier League is the most popular league for French punters after their own Ligue 1.
Hervé Schlosser, president of France Pari, said he was ” very happy and proud to work with a world leader such as Sportech, but also very excited to be able to launch this new offering for French bettors. This project has taken more than two years (to complete), in close collaboration with Sportech and relevant regulators. This offer corresponds to the sociology of French players, who love big jackpots: this is a good product to discover sports betting because it is both attractive and simple to play”.
France Pari and Sportech’s offers will launch on September 17 to coincide with the start of the new Champions League season, further offers will be developed and promoted later on.
