Global talent agency UTA has recruited Ander Nickell to serve as a brand partnerships executive in its esports division. Nickell will report to the head of esports Damon Lau, and work on creating brand partnership opportunities for UTA’s stable of esports athletes and influencers.
Nickell joins UTA after serving as head of global partnerships for Activision. There, he secured deals with brands such as Pepsi, Comcast, Kellogg’s, and Papa John’s for the developer’s various titles including across the Call of Duty franchise properties.
UTA has built up a large portfolio of esports and gaming talent in recent years including top YouTube streamer Rachel “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, Imane “Pokimane” Anis, and esports organization FaZe Clan.
