The Nevada Gaming Control Board has approved another round of esports leagues and tournaments for bookmakers to offer their bets on. This includes the League of Legends Championship Series(LCS), the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), the Overwatch League (OWL), and the 2020 League of Legends European Masters.
The esports betting opportunity has increased in recent weeks with most major sporting events on hold due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). In the first week of April, the Nevada Gaming Control Board approved betting on ESL Pro League and ESL Meisterschaft, two Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitions as well as the ESL One Los Angeles Dota 2 event and the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series. Additionally, DraftKings recently added CS:GO to its stable of daily fantasy games.
