ELEAGUE, an esports brand has partnered with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will air a two-hour special on TBS on April 17 which features the recent Mortal Kombat 11 championship event, Final Kombat 2020.
Final Kombat was one of the last live esports competitions to take place before the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) had events cancelled, postponed, or moved online. The tournament took place on March 8 and featured a $100K USD prize pool. Due to coronavirus concerns, the organizers canceled the Last Chance Qualifier tournament which would have taken place on March 7, and did not allow live spectators into the competition venue.
