ComScore Reveals Spike In US Online Gambling Traffic

Digital management and analytics company comScore has reported a 5% increase in the total number of unique users of online gambling websites in the US between August and September.

The firm recorded a total of 13,978,000 unique visitors during August and 14,628,000 during September.

Education websites topped the list with a 29% rise in unique visitors, a spike comScore attributed to the new school year starting.

Other major movers included training and education sites with a 15% increase in traffic, while retail computer software websites also experienced a 12% rise between August and September.

Education information websites recorded an 11% rise, while political news category websites also experienced an 11% rise due to the major news developments surrounding the US government shutdown.
