Inter-dealer broker and owner of Japanese retail foreign exchange and CFDs brokerage Gaitame, Compagnie Financière Tradition just announced some changes to its board of directors. The company’s Board member, Pierre Languetin, is leaving the firm after over two decades with the firm.
He has been a director of the Company since 1995 and recently decided not to seek re-election to the Board of Directors at the next General Meeting in May. Langutin is going to devote more time to his own personal occupations.
Pierre Languetin will be awarded the title of Honorary President for staying with the firm for over two decades and working through the most important period of development for the firm.
CFT’s Board of Directors is recommending the appointment of Eric Solvet to succeed Languelin. Solvet is adjunct Professor of Finance at the Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. He worked as a consultant with McKinsey & Co. and, prior to that, was an investment banker with Nomura International.
He holds an MBA from Stanford University (USA) and brings to the Board over 20 years of experience in strategy development, M&A transactions and integration and performance transformation in the financial services industry.
