Buenos Aires, regulations have been approved to establish the criteria for obtaining licenses for online betting, in view of the next quarterly budget for 2020.
La Loteria de la Ciudad, which regulates gambling in the city of Buenos Aires, proposed to set up a number of online agencies, which can offer sports betting, slots, lotteries and various casino table games.
Although there are no limits to the number of licenses, operators must have a total turnover of over 1.5 million euros and have been in business for at least two years.
LOTBA also said that further marketing regulations could be published in the future. Operations are estimated to begin in the second half of 2020 when the implementation plan of each license holder is approved.
