FortuneZ learned today that Bogdan Albu was recently appointed as the new General Manager of FX broker, XTB in Romania. Mr. Albu joined XTB Romania in 2012, as head of sales, and coordinated the firm’s teams of brokers as well as being in charge of strategic planning and institutional partnerships.
He is replacing Tadeusz Kuropatwinski, who finished his four-year term in December 2013. Mr. Kuropatwinski is currently a consultant for XTB, providing assistance during the transfer of leadership.
Mr. Albu is a financial specialist and has a decade of experience in banking, capital markets, loans and debt restructuring. He has been an individual investor on local and international capital markets since 2006. Mr. Albu holds an MA in financial management and capital markets and a BA in banks and stock markets.
Speaking with FortuneZ, the CEO of XTB, Jakub Maly, had this to say about the transfer: “Bogdan has been appointed to the new position, from the position of Head of Sales with the Romanian branch, after our former Branch director has resigned for personal reasons. Bogdan has been with us long enough to prove his capabilities and assume responsibilities of the general manager. We truly believe he is going to have outstanding results and will help shaping the FX brokerage market in Romania.”
