BNP Paribas has appointed longtime foreign exchange standout, Petra Wikstrom, as its newest Global Head for FX in a move to help optimize the group’s FX strategy, quantitative and execution solutions.
Ms. Wikstrom has been in the business for over 15 years, working at some of the leading financial institutions worldwide. In her new role as Global FX Head, she will be reporting to Suzanne Evans, Head of Institutional FX Sales. Ms. Wikstrom will be primarily tasked with the FX Alpha and Execution solutions, whilst also helping structure its FX division and develop a variety of solutions.
Ms. Wikstrom joins BNP Paribas after steadfastly rising through several other groups – her latest stop was Morgan Stanley, where she served as Executive Director, Head QSI for North America. Prior to this, she also maintained senior roles at RBS. She maintains roots with BNP Paribas, having originally worked as a Quantitative Analyst for two years back in 2001.
