Bitcoin Wallet Abra Integrated by American Express for Instant Funding

Credit card giant American Express (NYSE:AXP) has started integrating the Bitcoin Wallet Abra into its payments ecosystem. The service is releasing a new feature that will let customers fund their Abra wallet using an eligible American Express Card.

With this new funding option, American Express Card Members can now add funds to their Abra wallets immediately and send payments worldwide. A fee of 4% of the total transaction amount is added to all card transactions. Abra users will be able to add up to $200 per day and up to $1000 per month via their American Express Card.

American Express has been a top investors in Abra ever since it participated in a $12 million Series A funding round, back in 2015.

Abra has announced to its users that instant funding with American Express cards makes it easier and faster than ever to send money worldwide. It says that payments and remittances that used to take days now take just minutes to receive.

Abra recipients can use a network of tellers in hundreds of cities worldwide to withdraw their funds as cash or withdraw funds to a bank account in the US and the Philippines.
