Real-money gaming company Betable is reported to have raised a new round of funding led by early stage venture capital firm Venture51.
Although Betable is yet to comment, pandodaily.com reports the round is for $15m to $20m (€11.4m to €15.2m) and values the firm at between $80m and $100m.
Betable made the move to real-money gaming in 2012 and offered investors the chance to cash out at the time. After just one opted to leave, the firm remains supported by a list of backers including Venture51 and now offers a service allowing regular social game developers to add an element of real-money gambling to their games.
The firm handles the processing, legality and compliance of real-money gambling regardless of gamers’ geographical locations.
